Brazilian Report Claims Flamengo Are To Sign Gabigol Permanently From Inter | OneFootball

According to a report from Fox Sports journalist Paulo Lima, Flamengo are set to sign Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa from Inter.

The Mengao have a €22 million offer ready for the Nerazzurri to sign the 23-year-old striker on a permanent basis once his loan deal with the club expires in December.

“There was an offer from an English team, but he didn’t want to go. He said he wanted to stay at Flamengo and he will be bought for good,” Lima said during a broadcast on the Brazilian channel.

Gabigol has been in sublime form since arriving at the Rio De Janeiro club back in the January transfer window having scored 33 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions.

He joined Inter back in 2016 in a €30 million deal from Santos to much fanfare but has found playing opportunities hard to come by having been limited to just 10 appearances for a total of just 183 minutes in the time since.
