According to a report from L’Équipe and Le Parisien, a Brazilian escort company has gone to lengths to help SC Corinthians Paulista secure the signing of former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba (31).
The France international is currently a free agent after he was released from his contract at Serie A club Juventus. The midfielder received a doping ban of four years in February, this was later reduced to 18 months near the start of October. From January, Pogba will be allowed to train with clubs.
In France, there are rumours that Olympique de Marseille are interested in bringing the midfielder to Ligue 1, while in the Premier League Manchester City had been linked with a transfer.
Likewise in Brazil, there is also interest in the former World Cup winner and an escort company has confirmed that it would be willing to try and help Corinthians win the race for the midfielder by partially financing his wages via a sponsorship with the club.
Corinthians’ marketing department have officially responded to this by stating that they wish to inform the public “it has received an email from the company Fatal Model, but no negotiations are underway. The club thanks the company for its interest.”
