Real Madrid confirmed they would be without star signing Jude Bellingham due to injury, but that didn’t matter on Saturday.

The Englishman has led the club’s attack this season but it seems Marid’s other stars have finally found a way out of the shadows.

Dani Carvajal kicked things off immediately when he volleyed home a long ball from Toni Kroos within less than five minutes. Then, it became the Brazilian show inside the Santiago Bernabéu.

Vinícius Júnior doubled the lead after chesting home Rodrygo’s cross before the duo combined again after the break as the No. 7 drilled the ball home from just outside the box.

The scoreline, however, could have been incredibly different if Hugo Duro made the most of any one of his three first-half chances.

He currently leads LaLiga for the most missed clear chances (eight) after Andriy Lunin proved hard to beat, and no other Valencia players indeed threatened.

And to sum up a frustrating night, things became more miserable for the visitors as Madrid scored their fourth seconds after Vinícius Júnior’s brace.

Giorgi Mamardashvili gifted the ball to Rodrygo, who swiftly turned and got himself on the scoresheet. He celebrated with a Cristiano Ronaldo “Siu” to compliment Vinicius’ “calma” celebration earlier.

The No. 11 then made it two goals and two assists on the night when he dizzied Gabriel Paulista for the game’s fifth, which will leave manager Rubén Baraja perplexed.

A thumping Duro strike eventually beat Lunin late on, but it was nothing more than a consolation prize for the visitors.

The result sees Real Madrid sit two points off leaders Girona and five above Barcelona while Valencia are 10th.
