Brazilian international Carlos Augusto could get the nod on the left flank for Inter Milan against Fiorentina tomorrow.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. Sky report that Augusto could start ahead of Federico Dimarco on the left flank in the Serie A clash.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will already be forced to making a few changes to the starting eleven in tomorrow’s match.
The most eye-catching ones will come in midfield.
Kristjan Asllani and Davide Frattesi will both start. They will do so in place of Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella respectively – both of the two regular starters will be absent through suspension.
And in the backline, Sky confirm that Stefan de Vrij will keep his place in the middle of the back three.
With Alessandro Bastoni still not starting on the left of the defense, Francesco Acerbi will start there.
But there could be another significant change to the Inter lineup.
According to Sky, it is not certain that Federico Dimarco will start on the left flank.
In the event that the Italian international does not start, then he has a natural deputy to start in his stead – former Monza wingback Augusto.
Augusto joined Inter last summer, off the back of an eye-catching first season in Serie A with the Brianzoli.
And Augusto has made a number of appearances both from the start and from the bench this campaign.
According to Sky, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is seriously considering handing the 25-year-old an opportunity to start tomorrow.
Meanwhile, on the opposite flank, it will be Matteo Darmian starting. Denzel Dumfries will still be dealing with some fitness problems, so will not be in the starting eleven.
And in attack, Sky anticipate that Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will start.
