The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) have reignited their pursuit of Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, a report has claimed.
Ancelotti has been a public target for Brazil since the summer of 2023 but, after he signed a new Madrid contract later that year, the CBF ultimately turned to Dorival Junior, who took up the post in January 2024.
Now, however, Globo Esporte state Dorival could be sacked after Brazil's catastrophic 4-1 defeat to Argentina and the CBF are back speaking with Ancelotti about a shock switch to South America at the end of the season.
Ancelotti is believed to be interested in the move but has warned the CBF that he will not make a decision on his future until after this summer's Club World Cup. His contract with Madrid runs until 2026.
Relevo state the same - Ancelotti has shown an initial openness to the conversations - and note the fact the Italian could leave Madrid this summer in a move which would see Los Blancos hire long-term target Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen.

There has been significant speculation in recent months that this could be Ancelotti's final season at the Santiago Bernabeu. Underwhelming performances in both La Liga and the Champions League have even prompted reports Ancelotti could be sacked this summer if he does not win major silverware.
According to Brazilian legend and former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo, Ancelotti came close to being sacked after the 2022/23 season, when a move to Brazil was agonisingly close to completion.
"It was not a fantasy because I helped in the process by talking to Carlo, but he was not released," Ronaldo told the Charla Podcast. "Real Madrid did not release him.
"After negotiating, everything got stuck because he didn't have Real Madrid's release. If he hadn't won anything, Real Madrid would have fired him and Ancelotti would have come, but he won the Champions League and stayed for another year."
