Brazil’s medical staff have a plan for Neymar’s return to action at this World Cup.
The PSG star was forced out of the opener against Serbia with severe ankle bruising following a heavy challenge from Nikola Milenković.
But major Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte now report that as his recovery progresses, he may even be risked in the group stage.
The Seleçao take on Switzerland in their second group game and with a win, they would seal automatic qualification for the last 16.
Neymar has already been ruled out of that fixture but if Brazil were to draw or lose and put their progression in jeopardy, they will then risk him against Cameroon in their final group game.
That would involve a combination of treatment with painkilling injections and ankle strapping to alleviate the pain.
Naturally, if Brazil do pick up three points against the Swiss, Neymar will not be risked until the knockout stages.
The striker is already reportedly ‘walking normally’ three days after the injury.
