Officials at the Brazil Football Confederation are reportedly furious with Neymar after he refused to meet with fans following their exit from the World Cup.

The Seleção crashed out of the tournament at the quarter-final stage over the weekend, with the world’s most expensive player unable to lead the team to victory over Belgium.

The Paris Saint-Germain star’s reputation has taken a massive dent over the past few weeks, with many lambasting the striker for his play-acting throughout the team’s route to the last eight.

However, when the squad landed back in Rio on Sunday, there was still a crowd of hundreds there to greet their heroes.

But according to Spanish sports daily AS, Neymar opted to leave Tom Jobin Airport via the backdoor and avoid meeting supporters.

That’s caused outrage inside the corridors of power at the CBF, with the report claiming that officials are disappointed with the 26-year-old over his behaviour.
