It’s pretty unusual to be able to bring on your third choice goalkeeper during a World Cup knockout match.
But at 4-1 up against South Korea, that’s exactly what Brazil boss Tite decided to do when he replaced Alisson with Palmeiras stopper Weverton in the 80th minute of the match.
After having rotated almost the entire side in the final group game against Cameroon, that substitution broke an unusual record.
Tite has now ensured that every single member of the squad has enjoyed some playing time, and he’s the first ever boss in history to have done so.
If Brazil do lift the trophy on December 18th, that could feel rather significant.
