Brazil have achieved a new feat in their footballing history, following their impressive 4-1 win over South Korea in the FIFA World Cup.
With Croatia having knocked out Japan on penalties, the Selecao will take on Zlatko Dalic’s men in the quarter-final of the competition and they will be fancying themselves, considering their imposing performance against the Asian side.
Brazil scored four times in the first half, thanks to goals from Neymar, Vinicius Jr, Richarlison and Lucas Paqueta. As per Opta, it was only the second time in their history Brazil have scored four times in the first half and the last they did it was way back in 1954 in a game against Mexico.
Brazil have now scored seven goals in the tournament so far, conceding only twice in what has been a series of promising performances despite the 1-0 loss to Cameroon. But today’s performance was one which will bring a lot of confidence to Tite’s players.
