

Brandon Williams kicks off weekend with huge Norwich City win over PL relegation contenders

Under new manager Dean Smith, Manchester United loanee Brandon Williams is getting a run of games under his belt, and just last week he provided a brilliant assist as Norwich beat Everton 2-1. That was probably Williams’ best performance for the Canaries, but the left-back will be happy with securing three points and keeping a clean sheet versus Watford last night.
It was just the fourth win Williams has experienced in the league as a Norwich player and he played well. The 21-year-old is bound to be doing lots of defending, as a full-back, when playing for Norwich, so we hope he can return as a better defender for United.
Williams took to Twitter after Norwich’s 3-0 win against Watford, saying: “Friday nights done right…”
While Norwich have played more games than their rivals at the bottom of the table, it’s good to see Williams part of a team gaining a bit of winning momentum. The Canaries could avoid relegation against all of the odds if they continue their form into February or beyond.
It could make matters more complication for Newcastle United as the Magpies scramble around the transfer market looking for last-minute signings in order to save their status as a Premier League club.
Lionel Messi won’t fancy a move to Newcastle if they become a Championship club! Heh…
