Martin Braithwaite says he's proud to be a Barcelona player.

In a social media Q&A, he was asked was about inheriting the No.9 shirt at Barcelona from Luis Suarez, as confirmed by the Catalan club this week.

"I'm really honored and proud," he said. "So many great players have worn that number in the past.

"But wearing the badge of @fcbarcelona will always be special for me."

When asked about his objectives this season, the Danish international replied: "To win trophies and to be the best version of myself."
