Brahim Díaz has stated he’s very happy to be at Milan after scoring again in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The Rossoneri beat Sparta Prague 3-0 at Stadio San Siro on Matchday 2 of the Group Stage and on the scoresheet there were Brahim Diaz (24′), Rafael Leão (57′) and Diogo Dalot (67′).

“Everyone gives their best for the team and that’s what counts. I played as a starter and I’m happy for this goal and for the team’s victory,” Brahim told Sky Italia after the match.

“My role? The trequartista is my natural position but I leave the choice to the coach. I’m feeling good in this formation, we are free to move around the field and I hope to play the next game as well. If Ibrahimović is our father? I would say he is an older brother, he stays close to me and he gives me advice. There is a good feeling between us and I’m happy about that.

“My goals? I’m very happy, I have to continue to give my best in this great club. The team and I are very happy and we want to continue like this. If Milan is ideal for me to show my talent? I came here and I’ve been very happy from the first moment. I’m happy to find continuity, we are all giving our best to win every match.”

Speaking to MilanTV, the 21-year-old Spaniard said: “The goal? It’s a great moment, not only for me but for the team, because we won and this is the way we need to do it. I’m really happy for the goal, of course, if I can score every time I’ll do it [smiles] because it makes me happy and I can also help the team. So I’m really happy with this and also with the performance of the team. It’s the important thing – the three points.

“There’s a great feeling with the squad, with the coach and with all the staff. It makes me feel like I’m very happy here, you can see it on the pitch how happy I am, and also when I’m not on the pitch, in training every time… Like I said, I can play anywhere the coach puts me and I’ll try to help the team where I can play and at which position the coach decides to play me.

“No I want to score in Serie A? I’ll try to do it, it’s the way that I want – to score, to help the team, whether with an assist or a goal. It’s an excellent thing, anyone can score and if it’s me then I’ll be happy but if it’s another player I’ll be happy as well. I’m really happy to score today and I’ll try to do my best to do it.”
