Brahim Díaz set for Real Madrid return

Brahim Díaz has been contracted to Real Madrid since January 2019, but he has only ever made 21 appearances for the club and has spent the last three seasons on loan at AC Milan. This summer, his loan comes to an end and he will finally be at Real next season. As reported by Relevo, Milan wanted to sign Brahim on a permanent deal, but there was never an option to buy included in the loan deal. The Spaniard was an important player for the Rossoneri this season, scoring six league goals and assisting seven times. He was also vital in Milan reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League. Díaz will be hoping for game time when the new season arrives, but he faces an uphill battle. His preferred position is attacking midfielder, in the 10 role. Carlo Ancelotti, however, favours more of a midfield three with one midfielder sitting a bit deeper. Díaz can also play right wing, but Rodrygo has really shone this season and has nailed down a starting place. Brahim is contracted at Real for another two years, so will have time to assess his personal situation next season, and decide what the best move is for his career. Japtej Ghura | GSFN
