Brahim first joined Milan in the summer of 2020 on loan from Real Madrid and went on to complete 3 full seasons in Red and Black (all on loan).

The Spaniard worked his way through the starting XI of coach Stefano Pioli, playing both as a trequartista and on the wings, showing his qualities in the Milan that won the Scudetto in 2021/22 and reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2022/23.

His performances for Milan, which certainly had their ups and downs, caught the eyes of Real Madrid directors and Los Blancos decided to keep the player in their books for next season.

Brahim Díaz (Málaga, 03/08/1999) is back at Real Madrid,” a statement on the website of Real reads on Saturday. “The 23-year-old forward returns to our club after three seasons at Milan, where he clinched the Scudetto in the 2021/22 campaign and reached the semi-finals of the last season’s Champions League.

“Brahim signed for Real Madrid in January 2019 from Manchester City, and won LaLiga in 2019/20 and the Spanish Super Cup 2020. In September 2020 he was loaned to AC Milan, where he excelled in the last three seasons, scoring 18 goals in all competitions.”

Right after the announcement of Real, news broke that Rafael Leão, Milan’s best player over the last few years, has decided to take Brahim’s vacated number and starting from next season he will be wearing the #10 jersey. As reported by Milannews.it’s Antonio Vitiello, Rafa also evaluated taking #7 (currently owned by Yacine Adli) but in the end he will go for the #10.

In 3 seasons with the club, Brahim played 124 games in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and winning a Scudetto. The 23-year-old will be presented to the press in Madrid on Tuesday.
