According to Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain are set to complete a deal to sign Olympique Lyonnais forward Bradley Barcola (20). The total fee will be worth a total package of €50m, with €45m guaranteed and a further €5m in bonuses. Lyon will also have a sell-on clause.

The French U21 international is set to travel to Paris on Wednesday night ahead of completing a medical on Thursday, before Friday’s deadline. Sports Zone revealed that Chelsea tried to sign the Lyon forward but the player indicated that he only wanted to sign for Les Parisiens. OL owner John Textor was willing to sell to his compatriot Todd Boehly too. Chelsea now have their sights set on Manchester City’s Cole Palmer, who looks set to sign for the London club.

Barcola has been a target for Luís Campos since June, but a deal with OL has been difficult due to the club’s transfer restrictions and fears of not being able to replace their academy graduate. However, a breakthrough has been found and Barcola is set to play his football at the Parc des Princes this season. Lyon have confirmed the signings of Ernest Nuamah from Nordsjaelland and Mama Baldé from Troyes who look set to replace Barcola.
