Lyon’s highly-rated prodigy Bradley Barcola has informed the club management of his desire to seek an exit this summer, according to RMC Sport.
The report adds that Paris Saint-Germain are the forefront for his signature, although Chelsea also hold an interest in the French youngster.
Barcola is one of the most sought-after young prospects in Europe and has been dubbed the next big thing from Lyon’s talent factory following an eye-catching breakout campaign last season.
He was one of the bright spots in the squad in an otherwise underwhelming campaign, netting seven goals and ten assists in all competitions – all of them coming in the second half of the season.
The 20-year-old’s stock grew even further following an excellent tournament at the U21 European Championship, where he racked up two goals and assists apiece for Les Bleus.
PSG have been tracking him for months, and they also had a bid worth €30 million turned down by Les Gones.
Luis Enrique has handpicked Barcola as his priority target, and his latest decision will hand Les Parisiens a huge boost in their efforts to land him before the end of the transfer window.
PSG are also working on a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani, with the two clubs nearing an agreement.
Despite losing Neymar to Al-Hilal, PSG have brought in Lee Kang-in, Marco Asensio, Ousmane Dembele and Goncalo Ramos this summer.
However, the heavy spending hasn’t reflected on the pitch, with PSG failing to win any of their two games in Ligue 1 this season.
