Bradford City have had a season to forget for the most part, with inconsistent results, manager changes, off-field issues, and various injuries to key players effectively plaguing the Bantams' season.

However, the season is not yet over for the club, as with three games left of the season, Bradford can still finish within the EFL League Two Play-Off positions.

Although the club is currently sitting in 13th, six points from the last play-off place of seventh, Bradford have somewhat increased in form. Since losing 3-0 in an away defeat to local rivals Harrogate Town back in late March, Bradford have won three out of the previous four games, drawing one, and are currently on a two-win streak, which could see them finish the season well.

The Bantams play Walsall on Saturday, Barrow on Tuesday, and Newport County at home to finish the season.

With four of the five teams above Bradford having two games left, this coming weekend will determine if the season ends for the club or if the play-offs could still be possible.

How Bradford City can still be promoted this season

With only three games left, due to the recent postponement of the fixture at Barrow, the club still has an outside chance of getting into the EFL League Two Play-Off positions, but it is a very slim chance for several reasons.

The Bantams will have to rely on other results to go their way, mainly in the games remaining for Crawley Town and Barrow, who Bradford are due to play on Tuesday night.

Barrow and Crawley currently sit in sixth and seventh position, respectively, but both clubs have seen a recent poor turn in form. Barrow lost three in a row before drawing their previous game against Crawley, a result that most likely kept the Bantams' hope of promotion alive. Equally, Crawley lost two in a row before the stalemate with Barrow - a result that was handy in keeping Bradford's season alive.

Doncaster Rovers are looking set to disrupt the play-off places after winning eight games in a row. The club currently sits in ninth, just three points from the final play-off position with a game in hand. As the in-form team, Rovers seem set to take one of the final two places, with the Bantams hoping they take sixth, leaving seventh available, but still, the club would need a lot of luck for this to happen, namely seeing Barrow not picking up another point this season.

Walsall, who Bradford play this weekend, are also looking to seal a place in the play-offs, currently sitting one point away in eighth. Gillingham, AFC Wimbledon and Harrogate Town are also in with a slim chance, much like the Bantams, but all three have only two games remaining.

Essentially, the Bantams need Barrow, Crawley, and Walsall to lose in their remaining games to have any chance of clinching the final play-off place this season, alongside keeping their own house in order by winning all three.

It's a long shot, but League Two's finale is often wild, and after seeing sixth cancel out seventh on Tuesday night when Barrow travelled to Crawley, it might just mean that Bradford can be the ultimate winners in the run-in.
