Bournemouth are considering a summer move for Sevilla defender Loic Bade, according to Foot Mercato.

The Frenchman has emerged as a potential target for the south coast club, who are facing a pivotal transfer window after the departure of Dean Huijsen and the uncertain future of Illia Zabarnyi.

Bafode Diakite is Bournemouth’s dream signing at the moment. However, Lille’s asking price of €40 million is proving to be a sticking point, with the Cherries only prepared to pay €30m.

Bournemouth are now exploring moves for alternative targets as they seek to reinforce their defence ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.

Since joining Sevilla, Bade has established himself as a key player. He made 32 La Liga appearances during the 2024-25 campaign.

His combination of physical presence, aerial strength and calm distribution out of defence earned him a recent call-up to the French national team.

He made his full international debut against Germany in the Nations League third-place contest last month.

Aston Villa were linked with a move for Bade last winter. He revealed that he spoke to sporting director Monchi before deciding to stay at Sevilla, although he left the door open for a potential summer exit.

With four years left on Bade’s current deal, Sevilla are expected to demand a sizeable fee.
