Bournemouth host Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup this afternoon.
The Cherries are one win from a place at Wembley and progress to the semi-finals for the first time. However, Andoni Iraola’s side have suffered a dip in form, failing to win any of their last five fixtures in normal time. Their stuttering form has seen Bournemouth drop to 10th in the Premier League table, though they remain just five points from the top four.
That said, Bournemouth can take confidence from November’s 2-1 win over Manchester City. Goals from Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson secured the Cherries a first-ever victory over City at the 19th attempt.
The visitors are aiming to reach the semi-finals for the seventh straight season and progress to a third consecutive FA Cup final.
Andoni Iraola will be without two key figures with Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen absent through suspension.
The highly-rated youngsters are ruled out after each picking up two bookings in this season’s FA Cup. Marcos Senesi could return for his first appearance of 2025 to replace Huijsen. However, Iraola has cast doubt on the Argentine’s ability to play the entire contest.
Luis Sinisterra, Enes Unal, Adam Smith and Julian Araujo remain out for the Cherries.
Bournemouth predicted XI: Arrizabalaga; Cook, Zabaryni, Senesi, Soler; Christie, Adams; Tavernier, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson
