After moving to Roma for €17m in July 2018 following an impressive breakthrough season for boyhood side Ajax at just 18-years-old, where he scored 10 goals and made 5 assists in 30 appearances, the son of legendary striker Patrick Kluivert has struggled to reach to the heights he achieved in his debut Eredivisie season since – accumulating just 12 goal involvements in 51 appearances in his first two years in the Italian top flight.

Since this point, the now 24-year-old has been on a somewhat nomadic journey, first moving on loan to Rb Leipzig in 2020, then to OGC Nice and Valencia respectively in the following two seasons. Despite showing glimpses of his talent throughout, none of the three clubs opted to purchase the Dutchman permanently, meaning he still remains a Roma player, with a contract running until 2025.

If completed, the deal will see the exciting winger move for just under his market value of €14m, according to Transfermarkt, and The Cherries will hope his experiences abroad will enable him to replicate the performances that were displayed in his maiden Eredivisie season in 2017/18- as they look to build on last seasons fifteenth place finish and retain their Premier League status once again under new head coach Andoni Iraola.

The Spaniard’s first league match in charge will take place on Saturday 12 August, as his new side will host West Ham the Vitality Stadium.
