Aston Villa are reportedly leading the race to sign Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings.
According to the Sky Sports, Mings has travelled to the Midlands for a medical and is expected join on loan for the rest of the season with an option to buy in the summer.
West Brom, Derby and Nottingham Forest had also expressed an interest in Mings but it seems the 25-year-old has been seduced the regular playing time offered to him by Villa boss Dean Smith.
Mings has made just two Premier League starts this season and has struggled with injuries since joining the Cherries from Ipswich in 2015.
Villa have also been linked with deadline day moves for Watford’s Nathaniel Chalobah, Southampton’s Charlie Austin and Middlesbrough’s Britt Assombalonga.
