Premier League side Bournemouth are close to sealing a move for Roma full-back Matias Viña this month.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported about the situation of the Uruguayan defender, who had joined Roma back in the summer of 2021 but has not become a regular for the Giallorossi since then.
Bournemouth are now close to signing the Uruguayan on a loan deal and an agreement has been reached with Roma over a €1 million loan fee, with the English side having the option to buy the player permanently in the summer. Viña is expected to complete the move soon.
The 25-year-old has made only three Serie A appearances this season and has four appearances in the Champions League. For Roma, he has made only 44 appearances since joining the club from Palmeiras and injuries have regularly stopped him from nailing a starting spot for the side. He isn’t the only Serie A player that Bournemouth have been linked with.
