According to Florian Plettenberg, Bournemouth are set to beat Stuttgart and Wolfsburg to the signing of Juventus centre-back Dean Huijsen.

It had previously been reported that both Stuttgart and Bournemouth were competing in the race to sign Huijsen this summer. As well as this, Sky Germany have reported that in the past 12 hours, Wolfsburg have also expressed interest in the 19-year-old.

However, both Bundesliga sides may need to begin looking at other names on their respective shortlists. As stated in the report, the Premier League outfit are currently in pole position to sign Huijsen.

It is understood that Bournemouth are ready to strike a deal with Juventus, who value Huijsen at €20 million. Despite concrete interest from Stuttgart and Wolfsburg, neither of the two sides are ready to offer the lucrative fee demanded by the Bianconeri.

With Stuttgart still hopeful of signing Deniz Undav on a permanent deal from Brighton & Hove Albion, a €20 million move for Huijsen would mark the end of their pursuit of the German striker.

Therefore, the Cherries look set to find an agreement with Juve, who could see the sale of Huijsen as an opportunity to finally begin negotiations with Borussia Dortmund for the signing of long-term target Karim Adeyemi.
