Billy Miller:

‘Howe just cannot get the better of his former team in the Premier League.

At least we got the draw after the glorious intervention of VAR but Neto was my man of the match.

He made some immaculate saves.

Two games unbeaten.

Could be a lot worse.’

GToon:

‘We got away with one today and so did some of our players who were individually appalling.

Joelinton: amazing last week and horrendous today, bullied and totally dominated by midget Cook.

And Dean Wilkins, who wrote the article about Pope earlier tiday. Well it was Pope who chose to parry a shot straight at him that nearly cost us the game from the corner. He was certainly the second best keeper on the pitch today.

What is it with rubbish like Bournemouth?

Can we really not beat some seaside town’s select 11?

Apart from the last twenty minutes we looked second best all over the pitch apart from Bruno.

This team is not firing yet and if this level of performance continues, Eddie is going to be under pressure.

Not good enough so far.

And last point.

Gordon looked miles better on the right. RW problem solved?’

David Punton:

‘The manner of the performance was alarming but it ends up a point away from home thanks to Anthony Gordon.

We seem to have a blind spot with Bournemouth and it’s carried on here, bar the opening ten minutes.

We can, and must, play better than this.

Gordon looks like a ghost of who he was, Joelinton shockingly poor, full-backs poor and Longstaff and Murphy might as well not be on the pitch – abysmal.

Yet we emerge unscathed thanks to AG and nerve shredding VAR review for what would have been a shattering winner for the home side.

We live to fight another day though and hope for better to come.

Players needs to pull their socks up.

Board need to get a new player in this week to give the whole place a lift.’

Tony Mallabar:

‘1-1 undeserved point.

1-2 and deserved loss.

1-1 and will take the point.

Another underwhelming performance and my gut tells me something ain’t right behind the scenes.

Being a two night trip meant a visit to Miller’s in King’s Cross. Which was mostly full of Spurs and Arsenal fans, but ended up talking to 3 Man Utd fans who’d been to Brighton.

I know most think your average Man Utd fan is your generic glory hunter but these 3 lads in their late 60s were proper old school Salford reds.

Anyway, roll on Wednesday nightm cannot be any worse than what we’ve seen so far this season.’

Bazoox:

‘Awful first half.

The Rolls Royce was begging to be given the ball to his feet.

The midfield now want far too many touches. Gameplan became deep, condensed and narrow.

Shocker from Joelinton.

I honestly believe he is in danger of becoming just a squad player on whopping wages.

Picked up in second half but nearly blew a lucky point.

I want the likes of Gordon and Longstaff to pick it up if they are possible mainstays.

Murphy should never play in front of Almiron again.

Lets go with Flash and Harvey next week.

Signings need to be made or we are in danger of our season ending before it’s began.’

Matt Busby said to Joe Harvey:

‘We got out of jail there, both in terms of the performance and their disallowed goal.

I’m torn as to what to make of it all.

On the one hand, we’re still unbeaten and handily placed, despite not getting out of second gear yet.

On the other, anyone with top four aspirations shouldn’t be hanging on against Southampton and should be swatting Bournemouth aside.

We move on though.

I suspect Spurs won’t be rolled over like they have been these past couple of seasons but if we can win next week, the table will be looking even better. HTL.’
