Bouanga strikes in LAFC draw with Flamengo | OneFootball

ORLANDO, Fla. – The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 continued with a tightly contested 1-1 draw between Los Angeles FC and CR Flamengo in Group D on Tuesday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, USA.

Marky Delgado nearly found the opener for the California side in the 11’, but his right-footed curler from outside the box struck the far post.

Flamengo had looks in the 13’ and 30’, but the attempts from Giorgian De Arrascaeta and Pedro hit the woodwork.

LAFC goalkeeper Hugo Lloris pulled off an important save in the 58’ to deny a long-range hit from Everton.

De Arrascaeta rattled the woodwork once again in the second half in the 70’ with a powerful shot that bounced off the crossbar.

Denis Bouanga found the breakthrough goal to give LAFC the lead in the 84’, capitalizing on a line-splitting delivery from Timothy Tillman and finishing to the bottom left corner on a one-on-one opportunity.

Wallace Yan equalized for the Brazilian side in the 86’ for the definitive 1-1 scoreline.

The draw saw LAFC collect its first point of the campaign as the team out its FIFA Club World Cup campaign.
