Sky Germany reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested in Young Boys attacker Fabian Rieder but there must be outgoings at the club.
Rieder is open to joining Gladbach and has previously played under new coach Gerardo Seoane during his spell at Young Boys who is also a fan of Rieder. Other clubs in Germany are also options for the 21-year-old, so it is certain that Rieder will leave Bern this summer as he wants to take the next step in his career.
However, Rieder could cost a minimum of €10-12m which means Gladbach must sell players before they can provide an offer for the 21-year-old.
Manu Koné and Florian Neuhaus are the top candidates to be sold this summer with Koné attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool, while Neuhaus is unlikely to sign a contract extension at the club so must be sold this summer.
Rieder played 43 times for Young Boys as they won the Swiss Super League for the fifth time in six years. Rieder scored nine and assisted 11 times.
