Borussia Dortmund’s Lucien Favre not in danger of immediate sacking but results must improve

Bild report tonight that Lucien Favre is not about to be sacked as Borussia Dortmund head coach despite their recent 4-3 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen.

BVB currently have no alternative candidates to Favre and will wait and see if results improve. If they don’t, there’s a possibility that he could be sacked before the end of the season.

When asked by Bild, Borussia Dortmund officials didn’t want to comment on the topic.

Favre’s side suffered a 3-2 defeat to Werder Bremen in the DFB Pokal before throwing away the lead on two occasions in their Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen.

In their five games in 2020, Borussia Dortmund have conceded 10 goals.
