Borussia Dortmund's final home game of 2024 sees them take on TSG Hoffenheim on matchday 14 of the Bundesliga season.
After being handed their first home defeat of the season by FC Barcelona on Wednesday, Borussia Dortmund will hope for a swift return to winning ways when they take on TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. The Black and Yellows will fancy their chances of getting the three points against a Hoffenheim side with just one win in nine matches.
Although Nuri Sahin has a fair few injury issues to contend with ahead of the game, with no first-team centre-backs fit at the moment. So it will be interesting to see who starts alongside Emre Can in the make-shift central defence on Sunday.
Julian Ryerson, Julian Brandt, and Maximilian Beier are all doubts ahead of kick-off. But Karim Adeyemi could get his first minutes since returning from his injury.
Jamie Gittens will again be crucial for Borussia Dortmund, while Serhou Guirassy will hope to add to the brace he scored against Barcelona.
Hoffenheim have a number of injury concerns of their own, with the likes of Ihlas Bebou, Ozan Kabak, Florian Grillitsch, and Grischa Prömel among those sidelined. Newly appointed Hoffenheim head coach Christian Ilzer has already faced Borussia Dortmund this season (1-0 defeat with Sturm Graz in the Champions League) and will hope to get the better of them on Sunday.
One-time Borussia Dortmund target Adam Hložek could be a player to watch for Hoffenheim, while former BVB winger Jacob Bruun Larsen will hope to make a big impact. Tom Bischof, who has also been linked with BVB, could also be a game-changer for his side.
