Manchester United clinched their 13th FA Cup title on Saturday after beating fierce cross-town rivals Manchester City at Wembley to end a dismal season on a high.

Despite a famous win, question marks abound surrounding the future of manager Erik ten Hag as well as several players as INEOS finally get to work ahead of a crucial summer window.

Keeping in mind Profit and Sustainability rules, the club will need to first focus on moving players on before beginning their recruitment spree.

Players who are out on loan are expected to be moved on first with Benfica already confirming that they have triggered the buy option of Alvaro Fernandez.

BVB’s Sancho dream

Borussia Dortmund would also like to keep a hold of Jadon Sancho, who spent the second half of the campaign at the Westfalenstadion, and helped the club reach an unlikely Champions League final.

The England international has managed three goals and as many assists in 17 starts across all competitions, including a stunning semi-final display against Paris Saint-Germain that had pundits swooning.

His loan has already turned out to be more expensive than previously thought due to his heroics. And now his performances have meant INEOS have raised his price to £55 million as previously relayed by The Peoples Person.

Sky Germany have reported that the Bundesliga giants will meet after the final to discuss the possibility of a permanent move for the versatile forward.

The Englishman would like to remain in Germany but as of now, all indications point towards the player returning to Manchester as Dortmund are unlikely to be able to cough up that amount despite recent reports to the contrary.

“The loan fee, including salary, was previously three and a half million euros. According to Sky information, this sum will rise to five million euros following the team’s entry into the final of the Champions League.

BVB unlikely to buy Sancho

“Talks – regarding a possible permanent signing of Sancho – are planned for after the CL final. However, a purchase of the offensive player currently seems unrealistic for BVB.”

INEOS, unlike the Glazers, will not agree to any cut-price exits and they are keen to improve the club’s dismal selling record. If a suitable fee is not received, they are willing to bring back players and reintegrate them into the first team squad.

Jason Wilcox, the new technical director, is keen to work with the former City academy graduate again while even the manager is said to be open to welcoming the winger back.

Initially, there were concerns that the player had no future at Old Trafford after his feud with Ten Hag earlier in the season. But currently, there is no surety whether the former Ajax coach will remain at the helm for the next season.
