Borussia Dortmund failed in their attempt to land Fulham’s Timmy Abraham on Deadline Day due to paperwork issues.

That’s according to Transfermarkt, who claims that Fulham were too slow to complete all the forms to acquire the younger brother of Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham despite Dortmund doing their part.

Dortmund were set to land the player on an initial loan deal with a purchase option that amounted to €2.2m (£2m), planning to integrate him into the U-23s with a goal to get him into the first-team by the end of the season.

It’s believed that Dortmund will continue to pursue the player in the January transfer window.

Abraham spent the second half of last season on loan at League One outfit Bristol Rovers, making four substitute appearances from eight potential games before the season was called off.
