Borussia Dortmund will soon announce the signing of Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda, according to Bild.
BVB have reportedly beaten competition from Arsenal and Real Madrid for the defender.
The Gunners are looking for cover at right-back with Takehiro Tomiyasu out for a lengthy period.
First-choice right-back Ben White is naturally a central defender. Arsenal must sign a right-back this summer as they prepare for Champions League football.
Madrid have considered a move for Fresneda with Dani Carvajal advancing in age and head coach Carlo Ancelotti not trusting Alvaro Odriozola.
Newcastle United and AC Milan have also shown interest in the Spain under-19 international, who has become one of the most sought-after talents in Europe.
However, Dortmund have snapped up the Madrid-born defender before their competition.
Fresneda will fill in at right-back for Dortmund, allowing Marius Wolf to return to his original position. He will battle with Felix Passlack for the starting position.
BVB want to sell Thomas Meunier. They are hoping to receive around €7 million for the Belgian international.
Freseneda has a deal with Valladolid that runs until 2025, but they will look to sell him for around €20 million following their relegation from La Liga.
Dortmund are already dipping into the transfer fee they will receive for Jude Bellingham as they prepare for next season.
Madrid paid BVB a fixed sum of €103 million with maximum add-ons of €30.9m.
Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke already disclosed that they will reinvest 60-65% of the transfer fees they receive this summer.
In addition to Fresneda, they need a replacement for Bellingham. They are forging ahead with a deal to sign Edson Alvarez from Ajax.
