After failing to develop in the manner expected of him, Alexander Isak is set to be sold by Borussia Dortmund this summer.
In 2017, BVB beat competition from the likes of Real Madrid to the talented teenager’s services, signing him from Swedish side AIK Solna.
However, he has failed to live up to his early expectations and was sent out on loan to Willem II Tilburg during the January transfer window.
Dortmund are now ready to cut ties with the 19-year-old, according to Ruhr Nachrichten, who claim that the club believe competition for him is much too high at the Westfalenstadion.
They report that he is now expected to join Anderlecht on a long-term deal at the end of the season for a fee in the region of €9m.
Isak did enjoy a successful spell in the Netherlands in the latter half of the season, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists in 15 games.
He has found the going more difficult in Dortmund though and Isak, who has three years left to run on his current deal, has scored just once in 13 games for Lucien Favre’s side.
