Borussia Dortmund make a move for highly-rated Sporting midfielder

Borussia Dortmund have been quick to do their business this summer, having already signed Julian Brandt, Thorgan Hazard and Nico Schulz.

But a new report has claimed that Lucien Favre’s side are not done yet and will look to make a move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Wendel.

Wendel enjoyed a breakthrough season in Portugal this time around, playing 33 times in all competitions as the Lisbon side finished in third place.

Portuguese paper Record say that Dortmund have been in touch with the club and are hopeful that a deal can be struck in the coming weeks.

The player himself is thought to be keen on playing Champions League football next term.
