Borussia Dortmund interested in Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton | OneFootball

According to Sport Bild and Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Borussia Dortmund are interested in Brighton and Argentina star Alexis Mac Allister.

Mac Allister was one of Argentina’s standout players in the 2022 World Cup as he and his colleagues lifted the trophy beating France on penalties in the final. Since then, the Brighton midfielder has gathered the attention of top European clubs including Juventus, Benfica, Inter Milan, and now Borussia Dortmund.

As per the report, the 24-year-old could be a replacement for Jude Bellingham should he leave in the summer. The amount earned from a possible Bellingham sale (possibly up to €150m) could easily cover the cost of bringing in the world champion.

Currently, Mac Allister is under contract with the Premier League side until 2025 with his club wanting him to sign an extension in the near future. The midfielder will have to weigh up his options in the coming months as he has his pick of some of Europe’s top teams.
