Borussia Dortmund identify Alexander Meyer as Marwin Hitz replacement

Borussia Dortmund have found a replacement for Marwin Hitz in Alexander Meyer from Jahn Regensburg, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.
The 31-year-old is available on a free transfer with his contract at the 2. Bundesilga club expiring.
Standing at 1.95m, Meyer has an excellent command of the box and is a solid shot-stopper with good reflexes and has a reputation for being a ‘penalty killer’.
A product of the Hamburg youth academy, he played for HSV II in 2011/12 before joined TSV Havelse in the 3. Liga at 21-years-old before moving to Energie Cottbus in 2016/17, where he won the 2016/17 Regionalliga Nord-Ost title.
He then joined Stuttgart in 2017 to replace former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Mitch Langerak but failed to play in the first-team, resulting in a move to 2. Bundesliga side Jahn Regensburg, where he played 94 league games.
However, his signing comes with a bit of a dilemma due to the situation of Marcel Lotka.
