Borussia Dortmund express interest in signing Jadon Sancho for a third time | OneFootball

The Athletic reports that Borussia Dortmund have expressed an interest in signing Jadon Sancho for a third time.

Dortmund have informed Sancho’s representatives of their interest in the winger as they look at options to boost the number 10 position behind Serhou Guirassy. Despite the finances of a deal causing a potential hurdle, die Schwarzgelben are optimistic that the opportunity to return to Germany once again will appeal to the 25-year-old.

However, Sancho is not the only option, with SC Freiburg’s Ritsu Doan also of interest. The Japanese international has attracted serious attention from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

Sancho has two different spells at Dortmund so far in his career. His first spell between 2017 and 2021 saw him burst onto the scene as one of the best young wingers in the world, but since moving to Manchester United in 2021, he has struggled. In the winter of 2024, Sancho returned to Dortmund on loan and played a key role in the club’s run to the Champions League final, which they lost to Real Madrid.
