Edin Terzić has returned to the Borussia Dortmund dugout as the club’s new permanent head coach.
The 39-year-old led the club to the DFB-Pokal and a top four finish as he took charge for the second half of the 2020/21 campaign.
Terzić then stepped into a new role as Marco Rose arrived as Lucien Favre’s permanent replacement. Now Terzić has been appointed as head coach until 2025 after Rose agreed to leave the club on Friday.
“Many people are probably aware of the special significance BVB has in my life by now,” said Terzić, a self-confessed lifelong fan.
“I would therefore like to sincerely thank Aki Watzke, Michael Zorc and Sebastian Kehl for the great trust they have placed in me and for giving me this great responsibility. We will give everything every day for the success of the team and the entire club.”
