Borussia Dortmund and PUMA will continue working together until 2028.

The Bundesliga giants already had a deal with the German outfitter until 2022 but have agreed a new eight-year contract which will begin on 1 July 2020.

According to kicker, the new contract is worth a whopping €250m and will run until 2028.

That works out at over €31m-per-season for BVB, around treble their existing deal.

The new deal is still a long way behind the €60m-a-year that Bayern Munich earn from their deal with adidas.

It does, though, give Dortmund comfortably the second best contract in the Bundesliga.

“Borussia Dortmund and PUMA share the same philosophy of intense football and an emotional fan experience,” Dortmund marketing director Carsten Cramer said.

“PUMA is one of the most creative and dynamic sporting goods brands on the globe, yet we have remained very familiar, and we are proud that both such positively charged companies will continue to shine in the future. “
