Borussia Dortmund coasted past Ajax in their final pre-season friendly on Sunday.

Scorers: Brandt 6′, Nmecha 54′, 60′; Brobbey 7′

The Eredivisie outfit handed a start to Mohammed Kudus at Signal Iduna Park as he awaits a proposed transfer to Brighton.

Julian Brandt put the hosts ahead in the opening stages through a tidy finish from Mats Hummels’ exquisite left-sided delivery.

But the hosts’ lead lasted little over a minute as Brian Brobbey produced a stooping header to meet Steven Bergwijn’s searching cross.

Edin Terzić’s side had Alexander Meyer to thank for keeping the score level later in the first half with a good save to deny Bergwijn.

The Black and Yellows eventually restored their advantage after the interval through Felix Nmecha slotting home from Sébastien Haller’s lay-off.

Nmecha further extended Dortmund’s lead just six minutes later with another clinical finish following good work by summer recruit Ramy Bensebaïni.

Next up for the Bundesliga giants is their DFB-Pokal first round trip to Schott Mainz on 12 August, the same day Ajax kick off their new campaign at home to Heracles.
