Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United are holding a meeting in Germany on Friday after a potential swap deal between Jadon Sancho (23) and Donyell Malen (24), according to Christian Falk.

As per the report, BVB are demanding that the Premier League side either agree to a straight swap between the two players or €30m for Malen.

Both players are currently unhappy with their situation/playing time at their clubs, and therefore a deal does seem like a logical move for everyone involved.

Dortmund could loan Sancho or resign him permanently but the Englishman will have to take a pay cut if he is to return to the Bundesliga as he currently earns €2m more than Niklas Süle who is Dortmund’s highest earner.

Going in the other direction, Dortmund will demand around €30m for Malen, which is the fee they paid for the 24-year-old when he joined from PSV as Sancho’s replacement in 2021.

With the Euros coming up next year, both Malen and Sancho will need regular playing time if they’re to cement their place in their country’s squads. Possibly more so for Sancho who hans’t been involved in an England squad since the last World Cup qualifiers.
