Rangers have a major injury worry for the upcoming Old Firm derby after Borna Barišić was left out of the Croatia squad to face Sweden on Sunday.
The Croats won the game in Zagreb 2-1, but Barišić was not deemed fit enough to feature.
That means the left-back has missed his country’s two games this week, having also sat out Wednesday 2-1 victory over Switzerland.
His issue stems from a knock he took in Rangers’ 2-0 win at Ross County last weekend.
At the time, the Gers weren’t particularly concerned about the injury.
“Borna took a blow just below his shin pad but it’s nothing serious – just some stud marks,” assistant manager Gary McAllister said, per the Daily Record.
Rangers will not want to travel to Parkhead without the former Dinamo Zagreb man, as they look to strike a blow in their first meeting this season with Glasgow rivals Celtic.
Steven Gerrard’s men currently lead the Scottish Premiership, but the Bhoys are just one point behind with a game in hand.
