Foot Mercato report that Croatian midfielder Toma Basic has agreed personal terms with Serie A side Lazio ahead of a possible move.
The 24-year-old has been agitating for a move in recent weeks, with Bordeaux undergoing a takeover attempt by ex-Lille owner and Luxembourg businessman Gérard Lopez to save the club from bankruptcy.
The player has historically attracted interest from Napoli as well as Benfica. Basic now has a provisional agreement with Lazio on contract length and size of wage.
Sources close to Bordeaux suggest that Lazio are willing to make an €8.5m offer including bonuses, but the Italians will have to wait for the takeover situation to be sorted out either way before they can expect to receive a definitive answer from the Ligue 1 club.
