French side Girondins de Bordeaux have been relegated to France's fourth tier after they entered administration.
The French outfit had been set to take their spot in Ligue 2 this season, but after talks with Liverpool owners FSG fell through the club filed for bankruptcy earlier this month.
"It's a difficult decision that anticipates an inevitable consequence of the restructuring process underway," the club said in a statement at the time.
Now, their fate has been made official as the FFF have confirmed their demotion to the fourth tier of French football, a sorry fall for a club that once boasted talents including Zinedine Zidane and Aurelien Tchouaméni.
