How do you rate the victory?

We are very satisfied, I am very happy with the behaviour of the team. We came here with players missing, with players like Piccini who has not played for a long time, with Hugo Guillamón who returned to central defence... Today the team were able to suffer and put in a good showing, and this is the image we want to give off. We started in an adverse way with a goal that we practically gave away: Koba wanted to play a nutmeg on the wing, Alderete got overconfident and we were pickpocketed. The team knew how to react. We suffered a little more than necessary, but I prefer to focus on the behaviour of the players and I want to congratulate them, as this is the way forward.

How do you rate Hugo Guillamón's performance in his first game as a centre back so far this season?

I am very happy. He had not played there all season and he had a great game. He was solid. At the beginning we had some difficulties, but he settled down and won aerial duels. He was intelligent and did really well in a position that is not new for him, but it was the first time he had played there this season, against opposition who were looking for victory.

What did you think when Iago Aspas went off injured?

Honestly, I have special affection for Iago. He is a magnificent player, he is very important to his team and I like for the best players to be out on the pitch. An injury is always important for RC Celta, and it always shows.

Could this be the definitive launching pad or turning point that Valencia CF need to look towards the European positions?

More than a turning point, it could be an important boost for the team to have confidence; you have to go step by step. We took an important victory, we are seeing the difficulty for all the teams when it comes to winning games, and we have to keep growing. We have to keep our feet on the ground and work with great humility.

Today there have been phases where you struggled to clear the ball. Why was this?

Today we also found it hard, but it was also due to the push and the pressure by Celta after they lost the ball. We have to improve this; RC Celta's goal came from us not being forceful and taking risks in areas that we shouldn’t.

It was a technical-tactical decision by the coach.

Hugo made a great effort, but he had cramps and that slowed him down. Fortunately, we believe that he has no injury. Uros Racic suffered a knock, and it was not a muscle injury.
