Norwich willing to sell Max Aarons amidst Manchester United interest

According to Goal via CaughtOffside, Norwich City are willing to sell Max Aarons amidst interest from Manchester United.

The 21-year-old is one of the best young full-backs in England. He played a key role for the Canaries, who have been promoted to the Premier League this season.

While Norwich are keen to keep hold of the player, their Sporting Director has revealed that he could be sold if the price is right. While that price has not been mentioned, the Canaries were seeking £30m for the player not too long ago.

This is good news for United who are keen to bring in more competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Englishman is the club’s first-choice right-back but lacks attacking acumen while moving forward.

While the 23-year-old’s defensive nous cannot be undermined, his lack of attacking prowess is a weakness.

Aarons is far from the finished product but is a competent player going forward. At the very least, he will offer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer something different to call upon.

Aarons is not the only player on United’s radar. The Red Devils are also keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid star Kieran Trippier.

The 30-year-old is more experienced and has already proven himself at the top level. If it is a short term option that United prefer, the Atletico star would be ideal.

While Aarons only has had a single season of top-flight experience, he has been a regular for Norwich the past few years. The youngster is more of a long-term prospect and alongside Wan-Bissaka can lock up the position for years to come.
