The Football League have instructed Bolton Wanderers to fulfil their final two games of the season.
A decision was made to postpone their weekend clash with Brentford due to players and staff’s unhappiness over unpaid wages.
But the club, who are already relegated, must turn out for that game along with their final fixture against Nottingham Forest.
“The EFL Board has determined that Bolton must complete their final two games in the Championship,” a league statement read.
“The club has been instructed to now make the appropriate arrangements for the rearrangement of Saturday’s game at the earliest opportunity.
“The Board is aware that a number of the clubs’ professional players may not make themselves available but is satisfied that a team can be selected from the players they have registered and available.
“The EFL would have forced the club to play this weekend’s fixture had the Under-18 team not been involved in a game on Thursday.”
Due to Bolton not fulfilling their fixture on the set date against Brentford, they will now be charged with misconduct.
