Former Atalanta and Inter winger Robin Gosens could return to Serie A for Bologna, who qualified for the Champions League and are interested in the Union Berlin man.
According to Sky Sport Italia, new Bologna coach Vincenzo Italiano has given the all-clear to a pursuit of Gosens for next season.
The Rossoblu already warned Milan that they will not be activating their option to buy Alexis Saelemaekers following his loan spell and are therefore seeking different wide targets.
Gosens is certainly no stranger to Serie A, having come to Atalanta in 2017 and then moving to Inter in January 2022.
He was sold to Union Berlin last summer for €13m plus €2m in add-ons, but the Germans failed to live up to their previous campaign and struggled badly.
Bologna are not the only Italian team linked with an approach for the ex-Atalanta man, as Lazio and Torino have also been keeping an eye on his situation.
The Germany international turns 30 next month and this season contributed seven goals and four assists in 37 competitive games for Union Berlin.
