“We are discussing, but as of today, it’s a matter that is not immediately feasible. If we can’t do it now, we’ll do it when the transfer window ends,” Fenucci said.

The Rossoblu directors added (via TMW) that Bologna had not planned to sell Sam Beukema and Dan Ndoye, who joined Napoli and Nottingham Forest, respectively.

Bologna didn’t expect big offers for Beukema and Ndoye

“Our idea was to confirm all the players, but then we received two profitable offers,” said the Bologna director.

Nottingham Forest confirmed Ndoye’s transfer with an official statement on Thursday.

On the other hand, Forest’s Premier League rivals, Sunderland, have reportedly made an offer worth €25m for Lucumí, who only has 11 months left in his contract at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

The 27-year-old centre-back joined Bologna from Genk for just €8m in the summer of 2022 and has scored one goal in 109 appearances with the Rossoblu, winning a historic Coppa Italia in 2024-25.

Bologna will start the new 2025-26 Serie A season away at Roma on August 24.
