Roma legend and former captain Daniele De Rossi is being linked to the managerial post at Bologna.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Rossoblu are considering the possibility of appointing the 38 year-old to replace Sinisa Mihajlović.

The Serbian is on the hot seat after his side was demolished 6-1 by Inter yesterday evening in Milano.

Bologna’s upcoming midweek fixture against Genoa will be vital in determining the club’s next steps. Should they drop more points, they could be tempted to axe the former Milan boss.

De Rossi is currently available after concluding his role with the Italian national team as Roberto Mancini’s assistant.

The Italian has attracted interest from multiple clubs in both Serie A and Serie B in recent months, however, he has preferred to remain patient before accepting his very first head coaching role.
