Bologna has officially announced the arrival of Spanish international defender Juan Miranda, as new coach Vincenzo Italiano prepares for pre-season training.
The 24-year-old, who was out of contract following a four year spell with Real Betis, arrives at the Stadio Dall’Ara as a free-agent, with Gianluca Di Marzio quoting the Rossoblu who announced their new signing via a video posted on their official social channels.
Miranda grew up in the youth ranks at Barcelona and made his first-team debut in 2018, going on to make four appearances for the Blaugrana that season.
Following a loan move to the Bundesliga where he spent one season with Schalke 04, Miranda arrived in Seville in October 2020.
The player has made 81 league appearances in the Spanish top-flight, scoring five goals and making seven assists. He will be an important addition to Italiano’s squad, who will play Champions League football next season, for the first time in their history.
